Portal, the premier force in next-generation gaming, has revealed a groundbreaking Esports tournament in collaboration with DOTA2, a titan in the gaming world.

The tournament, known as the 'Portal DOTA2 World Invitationals,' marks a significant stride in Portal's endeavor to reshape the competitive gaming landscape and establish itself as the ultimate destination for gamers globally.

This event is set to take place from March 28 to 31, featuring eight elite Esports teams competing for a substantial prize pool of $100,000.

"We're incredibly excited to announce this landmark activation. We're entering uncharted territory – a collaboration between a next-gen gaming ecosystem and a mainstream gaming title," said the Portal team.

"The global reach of DOTA2 ensures that this activation will resonate with players and fans worldwide. We're excited to be giving DOTA2 players new ways to connect with the game they love - through Esports and much more to come!"

Streamed across major platforms, including YouTube and Twitch, the 'Portal DOTA2 World Invitationals' promises thrilling matches and intense competition.

In addition to the prestige of winning, teams will compete for the following prize pool:

  • 1st Place Champion: USD 50,000
  • 2nd Place: USD 25,000
  • 3rd Place: USD 10,000
  • 4th Place: USD 7,000
  • 5th - 6th Place: USD 4,000
  • 7th - 8th Place: USD 2,500

Esports enthusiasts worldwide can anticipate an electrifying event, marking Portal's debut in the competitive Esports realm.

This collaboration represents a significant milestone as Portal becomes one of the first next-gen organizations to engage in an Esports activation with a mainstream Esports giant like DOTA2.

Moreover, the tournament introduces the concept of 'Portal Chests,' each filled with items from different gaming IPs.

For the 'Portal DOTA2 World Invitationals,' these chests are exclusively themed around DOTA2, offering digital collectibles that can be redeemed for various in-game items.

Portal aims to elevate Esports viewership and enhance fan experiences through innovative initiatives like the Portal Chests, which are available exclusively to viewers and DOTA2 fans via Portal.

Portal's initiative provides gaming enthusiasts worldwide with new avenues to engage with their favorite games, spanning Esports, digital collectibles, streaming, and beyond.

The 'Portal DOTA2 World Invitationals' is the inaugural event in a series of activations bridging next-gen technology with mainstream gaming IPs.

With over 50 million Daily Active Users and $873M in all-time revenue, DOTA2 is a juggernaut in the Esports domain.

Its immense success extends beyond individual players and teams, encompassing a massive player base, in-game purchases, and esports events, which contribute to its overall revenue.

In the words of the Portal team, "The global reach of DOTA2 ensures that this activation will resonate with players and fans worldwide. We're excited to be giving DOTA2 players new ways to connect with the game they love - through Esports and much more to come!"
