DraftKings, in collaboration with Kindbridge Behavioral Health, has broadened its partnership to offer enhanced support for problem gambling across all active markets of the sportsbook, including Ontario and 25 U.S. states.
Originally initiated in September to pilot personalized support for sports bettors in Colorado, the extended program aims to provide accessible therapy and treatment options for individuals facing gambling-related challenges.
Commencing April 1, every DraftKings customer will gain access to comprehensive mental health assessments, care providers, and personalized care plans through Kindbridge upon self-exclusion within the DraftKings platform.
The partnership has developed an integrated system facilitating easy access to support options for self-excluded players, including educational resources, initial assessment calls, and counselling sessions.
Jennifer Aguiar, DraftKings Chief Compliance Officer, emphasized the initiative's expansion as a testament to the company's commitment to promoting responsible play and offering vital resources to individuals exhibiting signs of problem gaming.
The move aligns with Problem Gambling Awareness Month (PGAM), with Kindbridge recently announcing the inclusion of fellow sportsbook giants BetMGM and FanDuel in its pilot program across the U.S. Offering support to FanDuel customers in New Jersey and Ohio, as well as BetMGM customers in Colorado, underscores the industry's collective efforts to address problem gambling concerns.
In parallel, DraftKings introduced its My Stats Sheet tool earlier this month.
The tool empowers players to monitor their personal stats through intuitive charts and filtering options.
Aimed at promoting responsible gambling, it equips players with data-driven insights to make informed decisions about their gaming activity.
The expansion of DraftKings' partnership with Kindbridge signals a pivotal step towards fostering a safer and more responsible gaming environment, reflecting the ongoing commitment of industry leaders to prioritize player well-being.
