Lamb, a native of Henrico, VA, spent his final season (2023-2024) with the Sacramento Kings' G League affiliate, the Stockton Kings.
His season was cut short in March due to a severe ankle injury.
He last played in the NBA during the 2021-2022 season with the Kings.
Lamb's basketball journey began with a notable achievement as part of the Connecticut Huskies, winning the NCAA championship in 2011.
He was then selected 12th overall in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets.
Shortly after, he was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder as part of the deal that sent James Harden to the Rockets.
Throughout his career, Lamb played in 573 NBA games, representing the Thunder, Charlotte Hornets, Indiana Pacers, and Sacramento Kings.
His most productive season came in 2018-2019 with the Hornets, where he averaged 15.3 points per game.
Over his NBA tenure, Lamb averaged 10.1 points on .439 shooting, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 20.8 minutes per game.
Lamb's retirement marks the end of a significant chapter in his life, but he is optimistic about the future and ready to "catch another dream."
